Server: Frankfurt am Main, Germany (EU). The company, support and point of contact are based in Switzerland – the servers are located within the EU, where DSG and DSGVO apply. This is also stated in the privacy policy.
Most SME websites are not hacked – they are forgotten. A website builder with extensions requires updates every few weeks. If nobody does them, a known vulnerability is eventually left open – for months, sometimes years.
There is nothing to update – neither for you nor for a web designer. What does not exist cannot become outdated.
Your content is stored as files; what is delivered is finished HTML. The classic route via the database leads nowhere here.
Your visitors will find no login form where someone could try out passwords. Changes are made in the panel, at a different address.
You receive a sign-in link by e-mail. It is valid for 45 minutes and exactly once. There is no password that could be stolen.
If you enable confirmation via app, the panel additionally requires a code from your phone. Your inbox alone is then no longer sufficient.
A session ends after 24 hours and after two hours of inactivity – even if you leave the window open.
We do not promise you invulnerability. Nobody can guarantee that, and anyone who does either has not thought it through or hopes that you will not.
What we can say: we keep the attack surface small, we regularly check our own login against a recognised audit catalogue, and if we find an error in the process, we fix it and record what it was. This page is the same idea, only outward-facing: it shows something even when it is uncomfortable.
And if something does go wrong: your data is backed up daily and retained for fourteen days, additionally outside the server.
